Lindsey is 8 years old!

Our sweet girl is 8!  We love her so much and enjoy every day we get to spend with her. Linds is totally rocking 2nd grade and is very active with her gymnastic team.

Favorite activities - gymnastics, swimming, crafts, reading, playing with friends

Favorite tv shows - Football, anything on hgtv, pool master, Incredible Dr Pol, survival shows

Favorite foods - pizza, trail mix, APPLES, smart water

Her best friend is Daddy. 

Nicknamed Parker "PK" and uses it all the time. 

She doesn't like bows anymore.  Still loves her blue jeans and flip flops are her favorite footwear. 

Learned to knit this year and taught herself some sign language.

Lindsey got to celebrate her birthday with cookies at preschool and a swimming party at home. She's a lucky girl!

• Tries to be like Parker and enjoys his company no matter what they are doing.
• She is our little innocent girl, still believing that everyone is her friend and forgiving hurts immediately though she often doesn't even realize she's been mistreated such is her naivety.
• She wakes in the morning, looks in the mirror and says "I look so beauty" and "Look, I have grumpy hair".
• We love that she thinks she can do anything.
• She is soooo pleased to be 5 because she knows 5 year olds ride the bus to kindergarten!

• "Mommy, I dreamed I was a WOLF! But I didn't have to blow any houses down. I was so so sweet that they let me come in."
• "Mommy, Dixie waked me up to play hide and seek. I telled her I need my beauty rest, but she waked me up again. Does she think I am already very beauty?"
• Lindsey's 1st choice for "A" show and tell item=iPhone. I was trying to kindly explain it starts with an I. She says "no Mooommmm, its an Aaaapple iPhone and I can show how to find Aaaapps in the Aaapp store."
• Spider situation at our house got totally out of control while our pool was under construction! Woke up one night and went to check on LRae. She was asleep with one hand curled around her teddy bear and the other hand clutching the trigger of her nerf gun.
• On the way to school one overcast morning...Lindsey: dear God, please let it rain so the grass, trees and flowers can grow, Amen. Me: Lindsey, don't lie to God. Lindsey: dear God, please let it rain so I can use my umbrella, Amen.

Florida and Disney World Vacation

We had a fabulous vacation trip to Pensacola Beach and Disney World and got to have three mini-visits with Scott and Betty (Glenn's mom). We all had so much fun!

Trip to Colorado

The kids and I visited our good friends Bruce, Danielle, Trey and Allison this summer in Colorado. They treated us to a camping trip in the Rocky Mountains. It was great to spend time with our friends!

Lindsey's first visit from the tooth fairy

Lindsey had her first visit from the tooth fairy! She had to have her two front teeth pulled. They were both damaged when she was a toddler. The one with the root canal had been loose and ready to come out for a while. The other one that was broken and capped developed an abscess so the dentist ordered that both be pulled. She looks so cute with the missing teeth! But we will get a partial put in soon since the dentist says it can be quite a long time before the new teeth come in.

Visit to Houston Museum of Natural Science

This summer the kids and I went to the Houston Museum of Natural Science with friends. It was Lindsey's first time to visit HMNS. Parker has been to the museum quite a few times, but it's been 4 years since his last visit so he was excited to go back. MG, Parker and Lindsey in Butterfly Center

Happy Birthday to Glenn!

Happy Birthday to Glenn! The kids had a fun time helping to decorate the house (inside and outside) for Glenn's birthday. They made a special birthday present and even helped with the red velvet cake!
