Fun weekend - last BB game and new Bumbo

Parker had a big weekend! One of his friend's parents had to work so he got to hang out with us on Friday night and all day Saturday. Glenn was super dad - he took them to an Astros game on Friday, then on Saturday to basketball game, play tennis, feed the ducks, swimming, fishing and then we all went to the basketball end of season party (it's been a great season with wonderful coach and teammates). After the party we chilled out with popcorn and a movie and Glenn finished up the day by showing them cool stuff to look at on the microscope. yhew!
Lindsey had an exciting weekend too. Lots of playing and smiling and a trip to Babies R Us for a new Bumbo chair. This picture was taken only moments before she simultaneously threw up and pooed - both ending up on her new chair!

Lindsey is 2 months old

Lindsey had her 2 month check-up on Monday. She had to get 4 shots - it was traumatic for both of us. She is now 23 1/2 inches long (75%) and weighs 14 lb 3 oz (95%).

Here she is taking a snooze in her swing -

Parker takes Archeology

Parker took an Archeology course last week at the Cy Fair Community College. He had a good time and learned alot about archeology history, tools and methods. Here he is with some fossils and a clay version of an oil lamp found at a dig site -

I got a good laugh out of the course. One day Parker got in the truck and said "Mom, I don't want you to be mad at Cy Fair College, but I need to tell you something. My teacher is a spy." He said she must be because she always knew what people were doing or saying even when she wasn't looking or on the other side of the room. Also she always knew what time it was even if her watch was on the desk on the other side of the room. No matter what I said, he insisted that she MUST be a spy. So finally I told him to just chill and enjoy it because not many kids get to take a class from a spy.

Gift for Lindsey

Lindsey got some cute gifts in the mail last week from our friends Jimmy, Anita and Emma in Mobile. It made us feel very special that Anita spent her precious free time to make us some personalized items. Here's Lindsey with her new monogrammed bottoms and bib and "Lindsey" backpack.

Trip to Memphis

We decided to take advantage of my time off work and Parker's time off school to visit Granny and Papa in Memphis for a week. We also got to see Aunt Rachel (Ray-Ray), Grandma, Uncle Winston, Grandmother and Granddaddy. We had a great time visiting with everyone, playing games, swimming, cooking, riding the mower and go-cart, going to the library, shopping and of course eating ice cream. Here are a few pictures from the trip -
