Parker has finished 5th grade! It was a year of many changes...moving back to the U.S., finding a new house, starting a new school while living in a hotel, starting a new sport, having to do homework, missing Dad for 3 months while he was still living in Budapest and meeting new friends. Parker handled all the changes very well and has excelled in his new environment. He worked hard to assimilate to the school structure and to learn how to do homework and study for tests. His dedication paid off and he received straight As for the entire school year. He is very excited to have some fun times this summer and start middle school in the fall.

Lindsey has finished her first year of preschool!

Lindsey's 4th birthday party
Lindsey was so so excited to have her 4th birthday party at Cypress Academy of Gymnastics. One of her friends had a birthday party there last fall about a month after we moved back to the U.S. and she started asking that day if she could have a birthday party there. She was still getting accustomed to the idea of FRIENDS. I wish I had a video of her face as she processed the idea of a PARTY WITH FRIENDS. A CAG birthday party became her vision of the perfect birthday. So, of course, we had to do it!!!
Lindsey is 4 years old
Our sweet Lindsey is FOUR! We all love her so much! It's always surprising to me that we can look back on a year and be both happy and sad over the same developments and changes in our children. We're full of joy and pride that she's growing to be such an independent big girl, but it's also a little bittersweet.
