Boys' Night Out

Glenn took Parker to an Astros game last Friday for a fun Boys' Night Out. It was a great night to go because they won. Of course, Parker was mostly interested in telling me what all he got to eat!

4th of July visit to TN

We had an enjoyable 4th of July visit in Tennessee. We got to visit with Granny, Papa, Rachel, Grandma and Uncle Winston. We had a picnic, went to the Memphis Children's Museum, watched fireworks, grilled out, played in the pool, went shopping, made homemade ice cream, had some yummy home cooked meals, played nintendo, little people and balloons, went fishing, celebrated Glenn's and Dad's birthdays, built a water fountain, rode in the little red wagon, watched a good movie, played two exciting rounds of Taboo and Parker even got to take part in a lawnmower race. It was lots of fun!!!

Parker takes tennis - part 2 & 3

Parker took tennis at the Cy-Fair Community College again this summer. Some of you may remember how much he enjoyed the last summer's class, the coach and the competition for the first place tennis racket prize. This year he asked to take the course twice because he liked it so much. Well...he enjoyed it just as much this year and finished in first place for both courses - winning TWO tennis rackets! We're excited that he's found another sport that he enjoys so much!

Lindsey is 14 months old

Lindsey is 14 months old! We've had a fun month - LOTS of playing (she's really starting to learn how to play with her toys and make up games to play with us and Parker), she really enjoys going to storytime at the library and to playgroup, we got to go to Stroller Strides and the swimming pool a couple times each week, and we've gotten to go to the basketball gym several times to watch Parker's practices/games (she wants to play too!). We took her on her first water park adventure to Splashtown and ended the month with a trip to TN to visit family. She's walking very confidently now and is starting to try to speed up to a run...which, for now, often ends up with her face-down, spread-eagle. She's expanding her table food selections - we're letting her try most everything we have. Her favorites this month were meats (any kind), bread(any kind), goldfish, cheese, tomato slices, grapes, cherries, and watermelon. Good news, she's decided to like shoes. Now she WANTS to put them on and walk in them. Hurray!
