Baby Update

Parker and Glenn got to go with me to a doctor appointment on 11/21. Everything is progressing as expected and Parker got to see the baby on ultrasound - heart beating, opening and closing it's mouth and moving it's arms.

Here's a picture from the ultrasound. The baby is the two white circles in the middle of the black area. The left circle is the head (chin pointing right at 4 o'clock). You can see the eyes and a hint of the mouth. The right circle is the body. The dark spot in the middle of the body is the heart.

Thanksgiving at Grandma and Grandpa's house

We went to Alabama for Thanksgiving this year to visit Glenn's parents. Parker really enjoyed the visit and getting to play with their cats, Dogfood and Simon.

Here's Parker posing with Dogfood and Santa.

Introducing Harley....and Glenn

Here's Glenn with his baby. It got a spiffy new paint job in October. Harley, Harley, Harley...it's like a member of the family.

If there are any shocked college friends viewing this picture of Glenn wearing jeans and a do-rag, let me compound the feeling...he wears leather chaps too!

Big day for Parker and Goosey

Parker and Goosey both had a big day Friday.

Parker celebrated an early birthday with his school friends. The school announced his birthday on the morning announcements, he got to go to the front office for a cool Copeland eraser, and got a Happy Birthday blue ribbon to wear all day. He thinks he should get to stay up late since it's a special day...

Goosey left the house. She had a vet appointment to check out some recent strange behavior. Poor baby girl has an infection and we're going to have to feed her pills twice a day for 10 days. It was a very stressful trip, but I'm so glad we found the problem and are going to be able to help her.

I guess it's the pregnancy hormones...when we got home from the vet I was so upset and relieved that I ended up having a big cry. Glenn laughed at me the whole time. Parker got me a kleenex.

Introducing Goosey "Belly Dragger" Beck

Goosey joined our family in 2003. Parker asked for a dog and got a cat instead. She is wonderful and is a real trooper putting up with all sorts of non-cat-like shenanigans. She is a true house cat - only leaving the house for vet visits and hurricane evacuations.

Here she is in one of her favorite sleeping spots -

It's also a good location to watch for her squirrel friend (under the tree) -

Introducing Parker Beck

Parker and Glenn attended the Wings over Houston air show the weekend before Halloween. Parker wore his Halloween costume - a Navy pilot jumpsuit and Tom Cruise sunglasses. He got to check out the cockpit and meet some real pilots.
