St. Mikolas Day

December 6 is St. Mikolas Day in Hungary. Children clean their boots and leave them out for St. Mikolas, he fills them with candy and treats for the nice children and switches for the naughty. Parker and Lindsey cleaned their boots and in the morning found they'd gotten some treats!

The night before we attended a St. Mikolas party hosted by the owner of our temporary apartment. St. Mikolas came and the children each got to have a little personal talk with him. He complimented Parker for how well he is doing at his new school and for being such a good big brother. He complimented Lindsey on learning to talk. :)
